FTA Executive Committee

Jenna Snyman, FTA President

Hello Everyone, My name is Jenna Snyman. Wife to Jason and mom to Mackenzie, who is a student at our amazing school, Year 4. What drives me and gets me motivated? All things people, friends and family. I am passionate about connecting with others, serving, and being involved in our school and wider community. I have experience in Education, Training & Development, People Management and Operations Management, but more than that, I enjoy being of help and I firmly believe that each baby step of service is a step towards the greater good. As the FTA President for the 2024-2025 academic year, my aim is making small differences and encourage others to do the same. It’s a beautiful picture, watching a seed become a flower, when we all work together. I am most looking forward to seeing you all around as we build school spirit and bring the community of IP and the wider community together.

Dr Robert Bouliane, FTA Vice-President

As a former Vice President of his chiropractic association and gold medal winner of “Best of Cayman Islands 2023”, he has demonstrated leadership and passion for promoting health and wellness.

Dr. Bouliane is the father of Aubrey, an Island Primary student in Year 4.  He is excited to bring his expertise and commitment to supporting education and community involvement to the Family Teachers Association. With a strong background in healthcare and a proven record of community engagement, Dr. Bouliane is an asset to the FTA team.

Pedro Braz, FTA Treasurer

As a proud parent and active member of the IP community, I’m excited to serve on the FTA board this year. My spouse and I have been happily married for 14 years, and we have two amazing children, Helena and Lucas. I’m originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil but lived in the US for many years. Growing up, sports were a big part of my life and I played soccer and practiced Jiu-Jitsu but now when I’m not at work, I love to spend time outside playing with the kids or at the beach.

Over the years, I’ve volunteered in various capacities, primarily in local churches but felt compelled to also support IP by leveraging my professional background in finance serving as FTA Treasurer. I believe that education is the cornerstone of a thriving community and being part of the FTA allows me to contribute directly to our children’s growth and well-being.

Kirstin Micucci, FTA Secretary

Hi everyone, I’m Kirstin, mum to Danica who is in year 2 this year, and to Arya who will be joining the Island Primary family in September in year 6.  I’ve lived in Cayman for 13 years and felt like Cayman was home from the very first moment I arrived.  I’ve tried to embrace as much of the Cayman lifestyle as possible and even spent a number of years teaching SCUBA diving.  Now I work in the legal industry, advocating for others which is tremendously rewarding. When I’m not mum or at work, you can find me in the gym, reading or possibly out running. I love all things halloween and fancy dress, but my true passion is sharks and ocean conservation.

I have a long history of volunteering and fundraising, both in Canada and here in Cayman and I look forward to working with this excellent team to build a positive and successful FTA that the school and families within it see and feel the value and benefit of.  I encourage all parents to get involved in whatever way they can, these are the years our children learn to love learning.

Rhachel Whyte, FTA Council Member

Hello, I'm Rhachel, a proud parent alongside my partner Hilal to two wonderful Island Primary children – Sofia in year 4 and Adam in year 2. I'm thrilled to join the FTA, aiming to strengthen the bond between families and school. My goal is to support Island Primary in fostering an inclusive and supportive community, embracing their school values of: Kindness, Courage, and Commitment. As an Early Years Educator, I've had the privilege of teaching many Island Primary students from age 2 at their former preschool, and it's wonderful to see them continue to grow in our new school community. I believe in the positive contributions families can make to a school, and I'm eager to be part of that growth. Looking forward to engaging with the school community and getting to know more of you and your children!

Amber Primrose, FTA Council Member

Originally from West Coast Canada, Amber is an active Mother of three busy boys, two of which attend Island Primary! She has been in Cayman for nearly a decade now and loves all the things this island has to offer. When she’s not watching the boys at football, baseball or rugby you can catch her on the tennis court, hot yoga, a HIIT class or the Farmer’s Market.

Amber has a background in finance but her true passion is healthy cooking. She can whip up a nutritious dish in minutes and enjoys trying new recipes and getting her family and friends involved in healthy eating and nutrition. A natural multi-tasker, Amber brings a wealth of knowledge to Island Primary and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty! She is looking forward to getting creative and bringing her can-do attitude to the PTA!

Kate Molitor, FTA Teacher Representative

Kate’s love for teaching and education are rooted deep in a family of educators. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois where she taught for 8 years before fleeing from the cold and wind, to the sunny Caribbean in 2017.

Teaching is a true passion of Kate’s and she is motivated daily by the inquisitive, cheerful nature of young learners. She finds joy in igniting curiosity and critical thinking, and believes the classroom is a space for exploration, questioning, and problem solving.

Outside of teaching, Kate loves to keep active and give back to the greater community through charitable endurance events. You’ll probably see her running or cycling along South Sound Road or recharging on the beach with a good book.
